Walok Generations is dedicated to preserving our identity, supporting our people, and strengthening unity through collaboration, communication, and development.
It was established on 25th June 2011.
The name of this organization shall be WALOK GENERATIONS.
The Organization is committed to promoting the health, education, leadership development, and social well-being of youth and the broader Walok community.
Membership of Walok Generations shall consist of individuals recognized and admitted in accordance with these Bylaws and the Articles of Incorporation.
Walok Generations strictly opposes all forms of abuse, harassment, or discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, age, religion, or nationality. These principles reflect the core values and mission of the Organization.
Any member found by the Board of Governors to have violated these standards, or to have compromised the integrity of Walok Generations, may be subject to disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion, as permitted under these Bylaws.
The books and records of the Organization shall be maintained at its principal office as stated in the Articles of Organization and shall be available for inspection by members or their authorized representatives during regular business hours, upon five (5) days’ prior notice.
The Organization shall be dissolved upon the occurrence of any of the following:
Upon dissolution, the affairs of the Organization shall be wound up in accordance with applicable United States statutes.
The Members may authorize designated managers or agents to execute contracts on behalf of the Organization.
The Organization shall not provide loans or financial guarantees unless approved by a majority of members present and determined to be in the best interest of the Organization.
All financial instruments shall be signed by authorized officers. Funds shall be deposited in financial institutions approved by the Members.
This Constitution provides structure, identity, trust, accountability, and guidance for relationships among members, supporters, and partners of Walok Generations.
Walok Generations operates under consultative status with the Nuer South Sudanese Association in the United States of America. The Organization supports initiatives including small businesses, clean drinking water, youth leadership education, adult education, and medical supply assistance in Walok, South Sudan.
The official headquarters of Walok Generations shall be in the United States of America, with branches established wherever Walok Generations reside globally.
Mission: To mobilize Walok Generations worldwide in support of Walok society—financially, socially, materially, intellectually, morally, and historically—while cultivating unity and solidarity among the people.
Vision: To reclaim and rewrite our history and re-educate future generations about their ancestral roots, restoring self-determination and political authority, and building a strong Walok community capable of governing itself and preventing others from making decisions on its behalf.
Members must be at least 18 years old, born into or residing within the Walok community, formally accepted, and current on all membership fees.
Annual membership fees shall be equivalent to $100 per family or $50 per individual for people living in USA, Europe, Sudan and South Sudan and 500 birr for indivudual and 1,000 birr for famly annualy for people living in Ethiopia. Members must complete two (2) years of active participation before holding office. Failure to meet obligations results in inactive status.
The Executive Leadership shall consist of five officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Information Officer. Each term shall last four (4) years beginning in November.
The General Assembly serves as the supreme decision-making body. A Board of Directors of nine (4) members shall oversee leadership, elections, audits, organize fund raising programs, project approvals and execution.
Membership may be terminated through resignation, suspension, non-payment, or death.
The Organization shall obtain resources through member contributions, fundraising events, and donations from supporters.

History of EstablishmentHistory of the Establishment of Walok Generations June 25, 2011 marks the historic birth of Walok Generations National Consciousness and Independence. On this day, the people of Walok affirmed their collective identity, unity, and determination to stand as a self-aware and organized community. This moment became the foundation of Walok Generations’ history and political awakening. Walok Generations recognizes June 25 as its Declaration History Day, a day to be commemorated annually by current and future generations across the world. This day shall never be forgotten; it serves as a guiding philosophy for the generations to come—a reminder of who we are, where we come from, and what we stand for. This commemoration calls upon elders, parents, and youth alike to honor our history, uphold our values, and protect our identity. It is our shared heritage that distinguishes us among our neighbors and defines the principles we defend with pride and responsibility. The history of Walok Generations invites reflection on fundamental questions essential to our collective understanding: What is the history of Walok and its people? Who were the first leaders in Walok’s leadership and political journey? How did our political authority begin, from early leadership such as Jock Kuich and those who followed? What are the boundaries of our ancestral land, and who are our neighboring communities? Walok Generations also honors and remembers its young men and women who lost their lives during the South Sudan Civil War (2013–2016). Their sacrifice—made in defense of our land, our people, our women, children, and livestock—remains an enduring symbol of courage and commitment. We remember them with respect, gratitude, and collective responsibility to preserve the legacy for which they stood. This history is not merely a record of the past; it is a living responsibility entrusted to every generation of Walok. Through remembrance, education, and unity, Walok Generations continues its journey toward dignity, self-determination, and enduring community strength.
SetbacksThrough a great struggle this organisation was formed and it faced opposition within the community and outside the community. In South Sudan,Sudan, US, Cananda and beyond, the founding people went through a lot to accomplish this milestone. Few will be mentioned belows
Under her administration the followings were done:
Canoes were bought,Fishing nets were bought,Garden or farm
for Yomding payam was bought,Solar system for yomding Clinic were
bought. Also, 24 beds, 24 Blankets, 24 Bedsheets,24 pillows were
purchased and were given to our people.
She was the first person to digitalize Walok Generations organization for the present generationsand generations to come, under her administration shoes were bought for walok generation during South Sudan civil war. Building of walok generation office in Yomding Payam in 2020 and also review the Bylaws of Walok generations.
He is the advisor, the role model and emergency aids response leader for Walok Generations org and the one who has made the final moderenized website for Walok’s present and next generations.
